FoundingLetters.com is owned and operated by me, Heather L. Lawver. The site’s design and all its original content are copyrighted and may not be reproduced without my written consent.
That said, if you’re working on a project that encourages others to get to know our Founding Fathers, I’d love to hear about it and would most likely be thrilled to help out if I’m able!

I don’t claim to own any of the original letters being republished here. I’ve done my best to make sure that the letters being published are in the public domain.
That said, I’m only human. I’m sure I’m bound to make a mistake here somewhere.
I sincerely hope that if any visitor to this site should notice that I’ve accidentally published a letter whose copyright is owned by someone else, that they will let me know immediately. Should that happen, I will of course do absolutely everything I can to rectify the situation.

There are lots and lots of letters I would love to publish, but alas, are owned by other people – universities, private collectors, museums, et cetera. If you happen to be one such owner and would be willing to work with me in publishing some or all of your letters online – with full credit to you of course! – that would make me oh so very happy!
If you’re interested, please contact me at HLawver AT gmail DOT com. (Please replace “AT” and “DOT” with their relevant symbol and punctuation. Thanks, this will help me to avoid being buried in a deluge of spam.)
Thank you!
